Minneapolis nonprofit · hands-on STEM · since 2015

Every kid gets top billing.

We bring hands-on robotics, coding, 3D printing, sound tech, and drones right into Minneapolis schools and community sites. Kids build it, test it, and show it off.

How it works

The show comes to you.

“It comes to us!”

Raechelle, a createMPLS parent, on programs held at her children's school

We bring the instructors, the kits, and the plan into your school or community site, during the school day, after school, or in summer. Students make something real, test it, change one thing, and show it to the people they care about.

Students and families pay nothing. No bus, no tuition, no gear to buy.

Parent or caregiver? Here's how to bring it to your kid's school.

Act I

Make

Act II

Test

What kids walk out having made.

Every program ends with something you can hold, play, fly, or hear, and a kid who can tell you exactly how it works.

How funding works

  1. First call: you tell us your grades, dates, and space. We tell you what it costs your site, and for many sites that's $0.
  2. We look for coverage first: createMPLS grants and local sponsors.
  3. If there's a gap: the usual sources are Title I, 21st CCLC (after school), or PTO and site budgets. We'll write the program description for your request.
